Sharing: A few of the "Top Tips for Safer Products"

Hi there! I'm back..obviously I changed my mind about deleting/replacing this blog. :-)
Today I want to share what I have learned from EWG's Skin Deep Cosmetic Database. If you're not familiar with this site and what they're campaigning for, please don't hesitate to go to their website, here.

The list below is not complete according the website, so please check out the full list in their website (check the link below).

Top Tips for Safer Products

Very few sunscreens provide adequate sun protection and are free of harmful ingredients.

Retinyl palmitate
Aerosol spray and powder sunscreen
Insect repellent

Hats and shade in mid-day sun.
Zinc or Titanium are the best active ingredients, otherwise Avobenzone at 3%

Your kids:
Kids are sensitive. Use few products and pick them carefully.

No Boric Acid
Baby Wipes

there's more to read, here.

I hope some of you might find these tips useful. Thank for reading, and please do check their website. It's quite useful if you want to live a safer/healthier life not only for your self but also for your whole family. I know that it's hard (almost impossible) to change to a natural and/or organic lifestyle but it's always good to start right now, than regret it later.
